Bel Air resident Steven Dawson, 20, and 18-year-old Wesley Oxendine, Jr., of Middle River, were both arrested after officers in Anne Arundel were called to investigate reports of men tampering with a vehicle in Brooklyn.
The incident began at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19 in the 200 block of Zeppelin Avenue.
When the first officer arrived, one of the suspects immediately fled on foot and was quickly apprehended, according to a police spokesperson. The other two ran to a vehicle and made an attempt to flee.
As officers converged on the vehicle, the driver intentionally drove through a yard to get away, striking a parked trailer on his way out of the neighborhood, leaving his vehicle inoperable.
The passenger in the vehicle was swiftly apprehended, but police say that the driver was able to elude offers and is now wanted.
Police described the third suspect as being White with a large build who was last seen wearing a light-gray hooded sweatshirt and may possibly be armed.
During their investigation, officers discovered that the vehicle used by the suspects was reported stolen from a neighboring town.
